Priority Research Areas
Although the mission of HomeoNet is to act as a catalyst for research in all forms of homeopathic medicine, we have identified four priority research areas that will guide the type of research funded by any of our research competitions:
- Clinical effectiveness/efficacy including a variety of research topic areas such as: clinical case studies; case series, observational studies, comparative studies, pilot studies, randomized controlled trials; development of models for studying efficacy or effectiveness.
- Mechanism of action: including the properties of ultra-diluted substances; remedy manufacture.
- Health Systems Issues: including studies on cost effectiveness, social relevance, quality of life, and utilization studies.
- The homeopath-patient relationship including topic areas such as non-medicinal healing response; non-specific responses; patient-practitioner interaction effects; qualitative studies.
